Well I am here! Found an igloo and crawled inside. It was not very warm so had a pernod for medicinal purposes. Next I know it is Saturday night and it is snowing. My mobile is frozen and I can't see any of you. So now what?

Actually Lynn, we DID see you at the airport but decided to hide and get on another plane. We didn't really want to be seen with a woman dragging 17 tin trays with her left hand and holding a skeleton and 4 suitcases (with tassels hanging out of every corner) in the other. It also looked a bit wierd wearing ski socks OVER pink sparkly wellies. We really did wonder how you managed to walk, given that you had all those bottles hanging from your waist as well as an ice pick, belay ropes and crampons.. Please try and dress appropriately once you arrive as we are all so very refined.BigGrin

I presume you wrote that while wearing nothing but a pink sparkly bikini and hiking boots? LOL LOL

..oooops here i am at last with a few bruises but still walking, well maybe a bit gingerly for a few days!

My ice road trucker brought me to the top of the hill and told me he'd found me a great little short cut straight down to the heart of all the action ~ what he forgot to mention as i slid out down the hill on my tea tray that this was the route for the ski jump!!

Anyway i managed two somersaults in mid air - not quite enough for a medal unfortunately but it was an experience i can tell you!

Now we dont have much time but i need you all to come with me straight away as I've volunteered us as cheerleaders for the men's ice hockey finals so I'll see you all at the rink! ;)

Well girls, you`ll be relieved to know that thankfully, Amanda and I have been released from custody!! We had to bribe the officers at the jail, but it was easy enough to do a quick dance for them, though the music was a bit hard to dance to since we`ve never danced to the accompaniment of yodelling before, but we must have done OK as they let us out. We have collected tin trays and the snake, and are on our way to join you at the ice hockey finals.

I can`t think why Barbara ended up in rehab - we were all doing our best to be refined, but when Jean and Doreen started throwing books about instead of balancing them on their heads I think Barbara got a bit upset, especially when Amanda got the wine out to jolly things along. She was only trying to help.

For goodness sake, don`t tell Barbara about what Lyn was trying to carry at the airport, or she`ll never get out of re-hab. She might not realise that Lyn was only trying to help, even if the ski socks and pink sparkly wellies looked a bit daft. I`m sure Lyn meant well, and that`s the important thing.

Eleanor, if you slept in the igloo for that amount of time you must have had more than one pernod!! If your mobile is still frozen, try breathing pernod fumes onto it, and that should do the trick. Did you bring some cake with you?

It wasn't that bad Kathleen inside....we did find those sweet policeman who smuggled us in our whisky and wine....do you remember??

The snake protected us from, well, other snakes...so all was well.

Sorry I've been so quiet, I went to visit Barbara in re-hab and whilst there they admitted ME! Can you believe that! Apparently for intoxication! What a shameful thing to do to a pillar of the community! I had to ring Mark and persuade him to collect us as he suggesting that I stay there 'for a rest'!

Eventually Barbara's husband came to rescue us in a really cool sports car and now we're home safely but I am staying at Barbara's so I can have some peace and quiet to drink my wine.

Love,
Amanda

Well, we are now altogether minus our two star members, Barbara and Amanda. I'll give her peace and quiet to drink her wine! I am visualising the two of them sitting there in comfort sipping in a gentile fashion while the rest of us are roughing it in igloos while practising winter game events! You don't know what you are missing - correction - yes you do having been on a number of adventures now! Lyn has been working well on her tray manouvres and has almost caught up to the standard of Doreen. I am still recovering from a night in an igloo but am coping well thanks to dear Lyn and her good supply of 'medication'.

Mary and Jean have entered into the spirit of the games and are well occupied teaching dance moves to the men's ice hockey team thanks to our excellent cheer leading at the game yesterday. Well done Lizzie in getting us involved in that. It was great fun! How are you after your somersaulting ? I do admire your efforts in the spirit of competition even if you actually disrupted the actual competitor who was entered into the competition. You must have been exhausted after running carrying all that gear and with all the officials chasing you!

That snake was busy pooing when I last spotted it at the ice hockey final. Goodness knows what Kathleen was feeding it but it was not my cake. The poor thing was exhausted after the effort and , thankfully, has been curled up inside Lyn's pink sparkly wellies ever since. I actually think that it is trying to eliminate the screech of Kathleen yodelling! She has been at it since her release and it is dire!

Why have Amanda and Barbara returned to England? What on earth has been going on before I returned to the fold? And, where is Jenni? It's not like her to miss and adventure.

By the way Amanda, I think we should all have pink sparkly wellies. Lyn looked so fetching in them with her over top ski socks. I managed to get a job lot of ski socks in TK MAX which I have brought with me along with the remainder of the cake Kathleen.

So girls, what a good rehearsal for the actual day we have had and a bit of healthy exercise as well.. We haven't lost our touch!

Well I'm absolutely 'cream crackered' with all these tray manouvres but I'm up to speed now and just wait 'til you see the double pike back flip with a half twist (working on the full one!). Hope you are starting to feel better now Eleanor but you really will have to get used to sleeping in the igloo ... I actually hoped we might have been accommodated in one of those rather quaint looking chalets. In fact until I got here I didn't realise they had igloos in Switzerland!! Huh What an eye-opener!!

Will somebody please remove the err ... rather lovely snake from my wellybobs?Scared Where's Kathleen when she's needed?! Still yodelling on the hillside? And, whilst I think on the subject of my wellies didn't you know the welly/ sock combination is the new 'in' thing? I'm just trying to keep up with fashion trends and I'd like to suggest that you all follow my lead. Thank you Eleanor for bringing along the ski socks; I'm glad TK Max had stocks left, I wasn't sure whether they might have been snapped up before you got there. So, after tomorrow morning's practise we are going to don our wellies and over top ski socks and start rehearsing for the Synchronised Pole Dancing. What do you mean no wellies no ski socks for pole dancing? It's a bit chilly to be baring all out here with only a skimpy sequinned bikini and tassels to deter the icicles! Gonna be needing a good dose of that 'medication'!

Think I'm lined up for a lesson in refinement next, courtesy of Jean, so I'd better be off and learn a few mannersRollEyes

Ooooh Eleanor!! What a good idea to bring a fresh supply of ski socks!! I only had my reindeer-patterned pair, and they really do need a wash.

How impressive was Lyn with that double-pike whatsit? I`d no idea she was so agile. Wait until she cracks the full twist, there`ll be no stopping her. Jean & Doreen will be green with envy.

Is it the night in the igloo that`s given you that bent-over look Eleanor? Never mind, extra limbering up will soon have you nice and straight.

It`s really hard work practising all these moves in the snow - Lyn has really set the benchmark with that pike thingy. I suspect she`s using Jean`s superglue to keep her tray in place, makes my back-flip into cartwheel look quite tame.

Has anyone come up with an idea to combat our hands freezing to the practice poles? My fingerless gloves don`t seem to have much grip, and I can`t be doing with sliding at the wrong time.

Where did Lizzie get to after the ice-hockey match? Has anyone seen her?

I think we should send a post-card to Amanda & Barbara, as they really don`t know what they are missing.

Kathleen x

Kathleen, I'll have you know that Jean and I can do the QUADRUPLE pike-whatsit!
Don't worry, we'll teach it to you .

Lizzie was last seen being led away by two burly policemen after she streaked onto the ice during the men's hockey finals.LOL

Eleanor hasn't been the same since she did the splits, I don't think that was meant to be part of her routine.Scared

Has anyone seen MaryL?

You are all very welcome for the ski socks. We do have a real problem with the hand/glove situation though. Amanda appears to be a bit disconnected shall we say or I would have asked her to bring supplies of thick gloves with waterproof outers for the pole dancing. If you get this message Amanda can you bring them out with you! I have saved you a corner in the igloo.

Lyn has really got into this now with her double pike whatsit. Do you think it matters that it was a trout she caught ? As for Doreen and her quadruple pike! Nearest she has been to that were the lovely fish and chips under the 'big one' at Blackpool!

lyn has Kathleen come back to remove that darned snake? I suspect not as there is a terrific noise echoing all around the resort. She now says that she intends to include yodelling in the ceilidh band routine. Wonder what her husband will say to that? HE, HE , HE!!!!

Did anyone know that Lizzie had such interesting tatoos and piercings? I must have some now that I am retired. This will enhance our Lyn introduced fashion statement re the over socks and pink sparkly wellie boots. I am so proud of our team when I see the glances and stares which head in our direction. There are no doubts in my mind that you ladies will wish to join me. If Barbara was here she would be able to say which are decorious but anything goes as she is not!

Jean is doing really well laying down the new manouvres for the synchronised pole dancing. I have a slight problem with a kink in my back after yesterday's rehearsal and a back flip into my wellie boots but I am sure that it will be ironed out for the competition.

Have to go as my left hand has stuck to my hair. Where on earth did the glue come from!

Eleanor, hold on there I'm here with an iron; we'll soon have that kink straightened out. It's not good to go about kinky over here, people will be getting the wrong idea RollEyes By the looks of that glue though I think we might have to give you a quick haircut too (or perhaps an amputation?). So, if you'll just hold still ... no, really I'm not going to hurt you!!! Yes I know the iron's hot ... how else are we going to get the kink out?

Still no sign of Kathleen. I do wish she'd collect that dratted snake. My feet are starting to get cold without me fancy wellies and I daren't touch that ugly brute of a thing! Thanks for the extra socks Eleanor but I feel mighty silly wearing 12 pairs at once to keep my toes cosy BigGrin

I'm going to see if I can catch some more trout (and chips Unsure ), we can then have a smashing fish and chip supper when/if Amanda finally makes it!

You`ll be pleased to know I`ve brought your wellies back, Lyn - can`t have those tootsies getting frostbite! Has Doreen told you that she and Jean can do a quadruple whatsit? Don`t believe a word she says - the last time I saw them she and Jean were staggering around the perimeter of the ice-rink inviting the locals to have a snowball fight. I think they were both drunk, as they were singing loudly at the tops of their voices, and were told to be quiet in case they caused an avalanche.

I`m having a bit of a problem with my tin tray - it seems to have buckled badly, in fact it hasn`t been right since I had that collision with the fir tree, after Amanda misted up my goggles. I`m going to trade it in for a bobsleigh - I really fancy one of those. Who wants a lift?

Kathleen x

PS Can I have some fish and chips please? Only I`m getting a bit tired of fondue.

Thanks for returning my wellies Kathleen I'm really pleased to see those again, especially without the snake enclosed! I can get all these extra pairs of socks washed now and pegged on the line, although how long they'll take to dry?!

I'd love a ride on your new bobsleigh, it's rather nice isn't it?! I reckon that was a good exchange for a buckled tray but I don't think we should hang about in case he realises it wasn't actually a hyper-powered slippy slide speed toboggan just a plain old push along with your feet jobBlink Perhaps we could use the 'bob' to transport the trout back to the igloo then we can start cooking up the feast; 'fraid I can't do mushy peas they're all frozen LOL. I'm afraid Eleanor is none too happy with the impromptu hair cut but like I said it will grow ... in time!!! More than can be said if her left hand had had to come off! She might be cheered up with some extra chips, what do you think?

The misses 'Sophisticated and Refined' are really letting the side down. And they want me to use decorum etc. etc.!!! Really, invoking snowball fights with the locals is almost like football hooliganism. Well, mark my words it'll end in trouble and they'll miss their fish 'n' chips!

Whoa what's that horrible noise ......

Oh lor!!! It's Kathleen practising her yodelling again! If there is an avalanche we will know who to blame! The hair cut is not fine!! Thank goodness for Doreen's hat with the pig tails which she left in the igloo. She has no need of it herself as she appears to be otherwise engaged with Jean and Mary. lylie has been caught sight of to but she keeps disappearing into that big marquee where Kathleen did the swop for the tray. Still no sign of Amanda who was on her way with supplies. Honestly, she will have got herself invitied into some fancy party and herself and Barbara will communicating with posh types and no word of us out here competing with nothing but strange looks and comments about our endeavours!!

Ann is progressing well through the ranks in her attempts. Sedate, elegant and effortless it is not but the nice judge that she had dinner with on her first night here values her worth and is determined to keep her in the competition.

What are you saying LynLyn? Not again..................

WELL, "THEY TRIED TO SEND ME TO REHAB,... AND I SAID NO, NO, NO!!!!!" But guess what they got me.... because I'm not just a "secret lemonade drinker" I've escaped for a few days and have broken my license. On my last escape, yes there have been others, Amanda and I ended up at Samantha's night club and I fell disgracefully into the heart shaped swimming pool, and got carted off again. Believe me where I have been there AIN'T no posh people, I'm hoping that you girls will arrange a breakout for me so that I can get on with organising the party. Need to get back to rehab, think of me whilst you're having fun, but come soon, I can't take much more of this.....

The detox has been pretty hard going, but I will be on pills when I get out......

Eleanor, I promise to get the girls in order and will make sure the party goes down with a bangLaugh Laugh

Oh my goodness, do I? Never seen anything like it before and never want to see anything like it again. I'll leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

I'm afraid I haven't been on here much for a few days as I've been perfecting a new winter sport. The details are still under wraps but if I mention unicycles, sparkly wellies and skis (all together) you may begin to get a glimmer. Unfortunately, I have spent much of the last week in various hospitals as the practices haven't gone too well. Mary and Jenni have been very unkind in trying to sabotage my efforts. 7 pairs of wellies have already gone the way of all flesh, two pairs of skis have buckled and as for the bikes - forget it! Doreen did pop in with Kathleen to say "hi" on Saturday, but they didn't bring me any grapes! Mean so and sos!! Thank goodness for Amanda - the wine was wonderful!

Love to you all

We did bring you grapes Jean but Kathleen ate them all!
Serves you right anyway for wanting to do a solo routine, you know you do much better when we are there to hold you up.
Have you seen Eleanor's hair, it's a bit of a mess.

We should start getting your go-faster wheeled commode ready if we are going to spring Barbara out of re-hab.
Did you remember to get the wheels replaced after the last fiasco on the M5 ?
